White Salmon Lions Club

We Serve — vision care, youth support, and community involvement in White Salmon since 1980.

Program Overview

The Lions support various worthy local causes — all funds raised go back to the local community. The club''s primary focus is vision care, youth support, and community involvement.

Vision care

Annual vision screenings at elementary, junior, and high schools in Klickitat County. Eyeglasses and eye exams for people needing financial assistance.

Youth & education

Scholarships to colleges, trade, and vocational schools for graduating seniors from Columbia High School. Support for GorgeMakers technical/trade classes, the White Salmon Swimming pool, and White Salmon School bus shelters.

Community partners

Support for Skyline Hospital, Washington Gorge Action Programs (WAGAP), the Hood River 4th of July fireworks, the annual White Salmon Easter Egg hunt, and highway cleanup of the club''s adopted stretch.

Giving Opportunities

Donations and volunteer effort fund local Lions projects across the White Salmon area.

Christmas Tree Sales

The Lions''s flagship holiday fundraiser at Dickey Farms in Bingen. Sales start the Friday after Thanksgiving and run through Christmas Eve (or as long as trees last).

Golf Tournament & Auction

Four-person scramble at Hood River Country Club, the 3rd Saturday in June. The tournament is followed by an auction featuring items donated by Gorge businesses. Sponsorship opportunities available for holes, carts, and auction items.

Volunteer

Help with the golf tournament, Easter egg hunt, bus shelters, highway cleanup, or general parks cleanup.

Donations

Make donations by cash, check, or Venmo. Planned gifts during your lifetime as part of your overall estate plan are also welcome.
