Programs & events

Community events that bring local artists, makers and writers together, and grants that bring art into classrooms.

ArtSmart

The council's arts education committee. It manages a fund that awards yearly grants to artists and art educators for projects with students of all ages, with Trout Lake School (a public K–12 school of about 230 students) at its heart. Past grants have supported the school music program, classes and a preschool.

Road to Trout Lake artist tour

A fall studio tour along the White Salmon River to Trout Lake, launched in 2026 with nine open studios and fifteen artists, a group show at the Trout Lake Grange, and dinner and music at Trout Lake Hall.

Holiday Market

A December marketplace of local artisans and makers, with handmade gifts, crafts and food.

Writers of the Valley

An evening of readings by local writers, followed by questions from the audience.

Pop-up art shows

Local pop-up galleries where artists can show, sell and buy art.

The Trout Lake Arts Council is a 501(c)(3), so donations are tax-deductible.
