Hood River Rotary Club

Service Above Self — serving Hood River, Oregon, and the Columbia River Gorge since March 1927.

Program Overview

Hood River Rotary — Service Above Self. The members of this volunteer organization volunteer, raise money, donate, deliver, and support community service projects and help non-profit organizations, both here in the Gorge and abroad through Rotary International projects.

Rotary Youth Exchange

Gives students ages 15–19 the chance to discover new cultures, learn a language, and build lifelong friendships while becoming true global citizens. With exchanges in over 100 countries, participants can choose a short-term adventure or a year-long academic experience, living with host families and attending local schools. Room and board are covered; students are responsible for travel costs.

Local Service Projects

From building a greenhouse for The Next Door to caring for Hood River Rotary''s stretch of the highway, members come together for hands-on community projects throughout the year.

Giving Opportunities

Hood River Rotary supports the future of the Gorge through scholarships, volunteer service, and annual fundraising events.

Hood River Rotary Foundation

The club''s largest beneficiary every year is local youth. Each year, Hood River Rotary scholarships support continuing education for high school seniors — between $30,000 and $40,000 in local scholarships annually. Donations to the Hood River Rotary Foundation directly fund those scholarships.

Rotary Ski Night

Hit the slopes with Hood River Rotary on January 19, 2026. Every January the club partners with Mount Hood Meadows Ski Resort to offer discounted lift tickets for families and friends over the MLK holiday weekend. Buy a ticket and come ski to support Rotary scholarships.

Volunteer Opportunities

Many ways to volunteer alongside Rotarians — service projects, scholarship reviews, exchange-student support, and event logistics.
